Greetings!
If you are currently registered to vote in Bronxville, regardless of party affiliation, we are asking for a quick favor - it won't cost you a penny, and will only take about 20 minutes, if that.  Be part of the election process this coming Tuesday as we, along with the Independence Party and Citizens for Fiscal Responsibility, hold our respective caucuses for the March 16 Village Election.

Who: 2 Village Trustees (current incumbants are Trustees Anne Poorman and Bill Barton), 1 Village Justice (current incumbant is Judge George McKinnis)
What: Caucus and Ballot Petition
When: This Tuesday Jan 26 Independence 7:00 pm; Citizens for Fiscal Responsibility 7:00-8:00 pm; Republican 7:30 pm
Where: Bronxville Public Library Board Room Lower Level
Why: New York State Election Law requires this process to get our candidates on the ballot.  Citizens deserve an open forum in which to elect our representative officials.
How: Just show up!

  • If you are registered INDEPENDENCE, you participate in the caucus - sign in and vote yay or nay on the candidates. (7:00)
  • If you are a registered voter and either belong to no party, or to any party other than IND or REP, AND believe we need to maintain fiscal responsibility, you may sign the petition for the Citizens for Fiscal Responsibility line on the ballot - we need 100 signatures to validate that line.  (7:00 - 8:00)
  • Finally, if you are a REPUBLICAN, you may also participate in a caucus, and bring any concerns or suggestions you may have to your meeting commencing at 7:30.

We would like to wrap up everything by 8:00 pm - last year's caucus broke a record for brevity.... less than 1 minute - really!  This time 'round we will dispense with the procedural aspects, but also give time for folks to ask questions and mingle.  If you've never participated, please join us & bring your spouse or friend.  You needn't worry about making a mistake - we'll explain everything.

If scheduling permits, our candidates, along with Mayor Marvin, will also be on hand to answer questions and thank you for your support!

Please let us know if you will be attending and/or if you have any questions or comments.  You can reach me directly at chair@bxvgop.org

Hope to see you Tuesday evening.

Finally, do us a favor - encourage your friends to sign up for emails  - forward our communiqués or links to our site.... as with most things controlled by the government, the price for postage has an inverse relationship to the level of service we receive.....

Sincerely,

René Atayan

Thanks to all of you who voted in the November 3rd election.  A historic landslide win for County Executive, and a Republican sweep of Eastchester seats gives us the opportunity to bring fiscal sanity back to our locale.

We still have work to do - our Village Election is only a few short months away.  Help us keep the momentum going for the March Village Elections - postage is cost prohibitive, please provide your email for updates & announcements.
