GeorgeGeorge Washington owes about $300,000 in library late fees

     In the 1930s employees at the New York Society Library found a ledger that revealed on Oct. 5, 1789, George Washington checked out "The Law of Nations," a book on international law, and volume 12 of the "Parliamentary Register," a book of debates from the British House of Commons. 
 
     The books were never returned.

Simplicity manufactured cribs for several different companies.

Consumers urged by Consumer Product Safety Commission to check homes for numerous Simplicity nursery product recalls - 
Simplicity Inc., and SFCA Inc. are no longer in business, answering phone calls, responding to e-mails or providing repair kits to fix hundreds of thousands of defective cribs.
 
At least 13 children have tragically died in recalled  Simplicity-made cribs and bassinets. Check various product names and remedies here.   Simplicity also is recalling The Rainforest Portable and Travel Tender play yards, and bassinets.
