Samaritan's Feet
(No protection for bare feet in the Haiti earthquake aftermath.)
Samaritan's Feet Director of Programs and Mobilization Dr. Courtney Cash, traveled to Haiti in early February to organize the shipping, distribution and location sites for Samaritan's Feet aid relief.
Partnering with organizations that have worked in Haiti for decades, Samaritan's Feet will distribute shoes and supplies through our affiliates in Haiti.
This March, a cargo plane sponsored by a generous donor affiliated with the Detroit Pistons will transport 10,000 pairs of shoes to Haiti. The plane will also carry clothes and medical supplies to the disaster-ridden country. Additional shoes will be shipped as resources become available, and Samaritan's Feet remains committed to supplying Haiti with 100,000 pairs of shoes.
As the picture above so achingly testifies, providing shoes to the Haitian people is a simple yet profoundly important way to protect their feet from injury and foot-borne diseases, which in turn helps to alleviate their suffering. We hope you will consider designating a gift to Haiti HERE! |

Bishop Dwenger High School provides shoes to Liberia!

Bishop Dwenger High School in Ft. Wayne, Indiana collected hundreds of shoes and financial donations for Samaritan's Feet, presenting them to Manny Ohonme at a school assembly in October.
Within a month, the hundreds of new athletic shoes from Bishop Dwenger were shipped to the Republic of Liberia and distributed through the efforts of Samaritan's Feet Ambassador Emmanuel Davies.
Pastor Davies and his team of volunteers washed the feet of seven hundred Liberians and provided them with the precious gift of shoes.
The work in Liberia continues, as two major orphanages will also receive the blessing of new shoes within the next few weeks.
Bishop Dwenger remains committed to Samaritan's Feet: Last month their basketball coaches participated in the 2010 "Barefoot for Bare Feet" coaching event, raising more shoes and funds for Samaritan's Feet.

Attention All Pastors: Join Our "Barefoot Pastor" Weekend! 
Bishop Dixon with Manny and Tracie Ohonme
After partnering with Samaritan's Feet to organize a shoe distribution for 5,000 people in the Houston area, Bishop James Dixon and Kingdom Builders Fellowship Church experienced firsthand how hearts were changed.
Inspired by the impact of Samaritan's Feet throughout his community, Bishop Dixon is asking all pastors throughout the United States to participate with him in the 'Barefoot Pastors' Event on April 4th, Easter Sunday.
All participating pastors will go barefoot during their Easter services, calling attention to the plight of the poor and providing a special donation to Samaritan's Feet, with the goal of impacting one million people worldwide.
Bishop Dixon is also encouraging church bodies and staff to stand in solidarity with their pastor by attending the service in their bare feet.
