Samaritan's Feet reaches over 16,000 in Guatemala!
In cooperation with Gleaning for the World, Inc. and Hope of Life International, Samaritan's Feet shipped over 16,000 new pairs of shoes to be distributed to those in need in Guatemala. The volunteers shared love, hope and encouragement with each shoe recipient as they exemplified servant leadership by individually washing their feet.
"There are so many cries for help from people in need around the globe," reflected Ismael LaBiosa, Communications Director for Gleaning for the World. "Our partnership with Samaritan's Feet is a perfect match for meeting some of these needs. Thousands of men, women, and children now have a better chance of survival because of these efforts."

Teens Helping Children in Kentucky!
One hundred fifty teens from Youth On Mission traveled to Williamsburg, KY to work with Friends with Families and Samaritan's Feet.
These young volunteers spent a week making repairs to impoverished neighborhoods and on June 18th, treated over 700 children from the same community to new shoes. The teens enjoyed interacting one on one with the children as they washed their feet and provided them with new socks and shoes.
Anticipating 700 children at the distribution, the Shoes of Hope Ambassadors were shocked when nearly 1200 showed up to receive shoes! Though some had to be turned away, Samaritan's Feet and Youth On MIssion promised to send shoes for those who did not receive them at the distribution. |

Caribbean Youth Receive New Shoes!
In partnership with the urban ministry Elim Christian Fellowship, Samaritan's Feet provided shoes for the Liberty Lodge Boys Training Center on the island of St. Vincent.
Each of the boys had their feet washed, then softened with oil, and a new pair of socks and shoes placed upon them.
Tommy Mcclam from Elim Christian Fellowship summed it up best when he remarked, "To see the bewilderment on their young faces of why anyone would do this, then the smile when they realized the sincerity, and later to the tears of thanksgiving was truly overwhelming to everyone in the room." | |
