Horchata
This is a wonderful drink with Mexican flair. Many of you will immediately recognize the name and others, like me will have never been so bold to try new and different drinks. Your Bosch Universal Blender and your Nutri Mill Grain Grinder help make this wonderful sweet and refreshing drink. It is so good you might want to drink it anytime but it will enhance a Mexican theme dinner. I have posted a wonderful Mexican casserole recently on Paula's Bread social media that goes great with Horchata drink! Enjoy! Horchata Serves 6-7; from my daughter in law's neighbor!
6 tablespoons rice (grind into rice flour) 6 ounces blanched almonds 1 inch cinnamon stick 3 2" strips of lime zest (rind only, not the white pithy part) 3/4" long 1 cup raw sugar (this amount will vary to your taste)
Grind the rice in the Nutri Mill Grain Grinder. Combine the rice flour with the almonds, cinnamon and lime zest. We used a Bosch blender to pulverize the almonds, cinnamon stick and lime zest. Let the mixture stand overnight ( at least 6 hours.)
Place the mixture in Bosch blender and blend for 3 minutes or until mixture is smooth and no longer has a gritty texture. Add 2 cups of water and blend again for just a few seconds. Place a large sieve over the mixing bowl. Line the sieve with 3 layers of damp cheesecloth. Pour in the rice mixture. Do a little at a time and keep stirring to help the mixture go through the sieve. Once all the liquid has passed through to the bowl, gather the cloth together at the top, give it a twist and squeeze out any additional liquid. Now, add 2 more cups of water and stir in as much sugar as you like, to taste. If the mixture is too thick, add some additional water. Cover and refrigerate. The drink should keep several days, refrigerated. Serve in tall glass over ice.

Healthy Chocolate Pudding?
My daughter took a nutrition class and came home with this recipe. I turned my nose up to the thought of avocados in my pudding. This is a stretch for your mind but wonderful to your palate. This is the perfect season to make this healthy chocolate pudding with avocados in abundance. Your Bosch Food Processor will help make this easy pudding. It is fun and a refreshing dessert to serve in this horrible hot weather.

1 cup milk
1 banana
2 Tbs honey
1/4 cup chocolate milk OR hot cocoa drink mix*
1/2 cup vanilla yogurt
Simply put all the ingredients in your Bosch Blender and blend till smooth. Enjoy.
*I like the chocolate milk flavor better! :)
Strawberry Lemonade!!
a Sutton creation!
2 cups cups strawberries
6 lemons*
1-2 cups 3-4 cups cold water
Puree 1 1/2 cups of strawberries and 2 tablespoons lemon juice in your Bosch blender until smooth.
You can remove most of the strawberry seeds by forcing it through a fine sieve but we enjoy everything about a strawberry, so I took all the blended strawberry mixture.
Blend together pureed strawberry mixture with remaining lemon juice. Add 1 cup Xagave and water in a large pitcher. Taste, add more Xagave if you like it sweeter!

Customer Corner
I like Paula's Bread and love my Bosch mixer, Bosch blender and Bosch food processor. Bosch stands behind their products. I used my blender for a smoothie and when I removed it from the Bosch base the blade attachment fell off the bottom (possibly operator error) and the smoothie drown the motor which made it squeal loudly. I sent it in and they replaced the blender bottom, replaced the Bosch motor and gave me a plastic tab to keep bread dough out of the middle pole. The best part-all was free because they have a great warranty. Have had some great smoothies since then with no problems. Can't wait for cookie baking day with my friend. She's excited to get to use the Bosch herself. Seth S. I ordered a Bosch kitchen machine last fall, and just wanted you to know that I LOVE it! It's so easy to use. I no longer feel like I'm going to blow up my little hand-held mixer when mixing up cookie dough. I enjoy making bread about twice a month with the Bosch. I do two batches in a row and freeze all the dough. It's so convenient to set the dough out at night, and bake it the next morning. I love that my family gets to have fresh bread nearly every day! Thank you also for including your DVD. It was very helpful to "see" the instructions and all the creative ways to use the bread dough. I've tried all the recipes, except the raisin bread. Tips for the Harried Woman
I have been teaching my kids consequences of our decisions lately. We tend to make decisions not counting the cost or future ramifications of our decisions.
I think a more expanded picture is that all our actions are not just about us or the benefits/consequences those actions cause. Many times we may look at ourselves as a sole inanity and that we can do what we want because we may justify whatever consequences may fall our way as we are willing to take the 'hit.' Unfortunately, this is not the way it really happens. I used a can of soda illustrate to my kids how consequences affect everyone. If I decided that I like the thrill of shaking the can of soda and love the fizzy taste that comes from a shook up can of soda, therefore, I have the right to shake the can and let it spray. I am willing to take the chance of soda spraying all over me. It is my choice. Right? However, the problem comes as the soda doesn't stay only on me but sprays/damages all around me.
My decisions and choices aren't just about me but affect those around me. My choices both good and bad have a lasting affect on those around me and can last for years to come. This came to pass as we found a stain on our furniture left from a careless spill done perhaps a year ago. Argh.
If you really want to make a graphic lesson for your kids of the consequences of choices made, go outside and let them all take turns shaking the can of soda. Have them all gather round as you pop the soda can open. The sticky mess is well worth a lesson learned that our choices damage us but more importantly they damage those around us. Lessons in action sometimes speak louder than our verbal teaching times.
Help you and your family learn a life lesson that will help to make right choices. Shake a can of soda!
