Easter Egg Recipes!
Will you have as many eggs as we will left over from Easter? Perhaps you want to serve egg dishes for your Easter celebration. Here is a couple of ideas for you!
Sweet-Sour "Angeled" Eggs from Taste of Homes
12 hard-cooked eggs 1/3 cup plus 1 Tbs. mayonnaise 5 tsp raw sugar* 5 tsp cider vinegar 1 tsp prepared mustard 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp pepper
Directions:
Slice eggs in half lengthwise; remove yolks and set whites aside. Pull out your Bosch Food Processor and simply blend yolks, mayonnaise, sugar, vinegar, mustard, salt and pepper. Stuff or pipe into egg whites. *I substituted 2 tsp Xagave. (Click here!) Yields: 24 servings. Note from Paula: Many will see these labeled 'deviled' eggs but I want to give these great eggs a worthy name. Why give the devil credit for something so good?
Pickled Beets and Eggs! This is an old family recipe from passed down from several generations! 12 boiled eggs 2 cans (15 oz.) whole beets 1-2 Tbs vinegar 2-3 Tbs raw sugar 1 1/2 Tbs pickling spice (put in mesh bag)*
Step one: Boil eggs and set aside
Step two:
Bring beet juice to boil with raw sugar, vinegar and pickling spice. When sugar dissolved, cool beet juice to warm. Put warm peeled boiled eggs in the warm beet juice.
Step three:
Chill and let sit overnight or for 2-3 days in the fridge. The longer the eggs sit in the beet juice the deeper the pink the egg whites will get.
* The pickling spice has to be put in a mesh bag so that all the spices wont' get all over the eggs and beets
Note from Paula: Not all will like eating these pickled eggs and beets, but they sure make your Easter table setting pretty. Those in your family who like pickled beets will love these as well. :)

Customer Corner
Thank you so much for your quick response. I appreciate your continual time in customer service! It is wonderful. I look forward to continuing to ordering from you in the future, as I have been very pleased. My wish list is growing.
Thanks again,
Tina K.
I received my new Bosch mixer and have been using it a lot. I LOVE IT!!!!! It is everything I hoped for and then some. I may be adding to it as well with a spare mixing bowl too. I have to wait on that a bit though. I love the bowl scraper for my Bosch and have told several friends who all have the same mixer about it. They now too will be ordering the bowl scraper attachment.
Blessing to you and your family,
Peg P.
Hi Paula,
I've been reading your newsletters for years now! Especially love all your recipes and info on different grains.

Tips for the Harried Woman

Normally, people talk about flowers for spring, April showers, and the budding trees. Well, those things are happening and we have planted numerous flowers around our house. I guess I should say, I bought the flowers and my children planted them! lol I have learned these old bones don't bend as easily and my kids plant so much faster.
Okay, I have digressed from the topic of spray paint for spring. As I was sprucing up our flower beds, I noticed the old, sun-faded lawn chairs. If I were a perfectionist, I would have had them sandblasted, then primed, and then painted. As you know from my usual recipes, the main word for my cooking is "easy" or "fast." So would you believe this mindset simply spills over into my view of make-over as well. Can you believe it? I thought so! :)
I bought $1 black gloss spray paint and started spraying over the dulled chairs. I am thrilled and have now upgraded our lawn furniture for about $15! Yes, that is a lot of cans of spray paint and spraying but the furniture looks sooo good. I would recommend putting on disposable gloves or at least taking off your rings before you start. Sigh...you guessed it. In my impetuousness, I started spraying away. The drips came, my fingers and unfortunately 2 of my rings were also painted. My hands eventually cleaned but the rings are sort of a dull shine. Guess, I will have to add the ring cleaning to the price of my cheap spring lawn furniture makeover! :)
