Word just came in from Risse Greenhouse that they will sell plants as long as people are buying. So, they will be there from 9 am until at least 2 pm!

Everybody Loves Risse Greenhouse......

And we love that they will be at our store site (546 Gaffney Road - Foodland building!) this Sunday!  

Please remember to thank them for supporting your future Co-op grocery store. They will be in the parking lot with loads of plants and soil on Sunday, May 22 from 9 am until people stop coming! Arrive early for the best selection of plants!    

Look for hanging baskets, planters, flower and vegetable bedding plants and Risse's Famous Soil!  

Children will love to visit new baby lambs from Turning Light Farms.

 

Downtown Market Coming Soon!

Golden Heart Plaza will soon be a flurry of white tents, fresh produce, crafts, and live music as a new Downtown Market partners with area growers and vendors to bring healthy food and activity to the heart of Fairbanks.  

The Downtown Market will be open every Monday this summer from 4-8pm in Golden Heart Plaza. The first Market of the season debuts on Monday, June 6th, 2011.  

Locals and visitors can find produce and preserves, crepes, artwork, smoothies, coffee, souvenirs, and information from various nonprofits.  

The Downtown Market is certified to accept food stamps on behalf of all vendors who sell qualified items including produce, prepared foods, or edible plants. Vendor applications are still welcome.
