We've come a long way since the last Member Loan Report with 59 loan pledges totaling close to $175,000. This is over 1/2 way to our goal of $300,000. We will be busy the next two weeks collecting loan pledges and wrapping up Phase I of the campaign before we break for the holidays.
The office will be staffed Monday through Thursday, December 6-9 and next week Tuesday through Friday, December 14-17. The office will be closed on Friday, December 10 and Monday, December 13.
January 7 we resume the campaign and our team will continue to make courtesy calls to our membership about our Member Loan Campaign.
Our Board of Directors is working hard to set a time line with the goal of opening our community grocery store as soon as possible. Our number one priority is raising the capital that will open this grocery store.
Your investment represents your equity in the business. As we grow our ownership fund we are also pursuing other funding opportunities.
Ownership equity is essential to the quest for other sources of capital. It represents the community support that will make this project a success.
A cooperative business starts because a committed group of owners like you comes together with equity and hard work. All of us do our part to help our store open! Because of you this cooperative grocery store will open.
We have our work cut out for us! As we continue on the path to raising the funds to start our project, tasks that need accomplished are multiplying weekly!
To put it bluntly, we need your help! Recently, we have talked with many of you about ways to volunteer. One of the simplest ways to volunteer is to volunteer 2 hours per week of office time. We have many tasks set up in the office ready for an enthusiastic volunteer to accomplish. If you can help please call 457-1023 or email co-opmarket@ak.net. We are happy to accommodate your availability and interests.

Again, Thank You for participating in this community endeavor.
In Gratitude, Co-op Market Board of Directors
