Young Leaders to Benefit Community

youth venture2Young leaders from the United Way of Tri-County's Youth Venture program have been hard at work creating a plan to benefit their community.  A group of high school students, led by Boy Scout Sterling Reber, have a plan to engage senior citizens in their hometown of Hudson, MA.  The opening of Hudson's new Senior Center spurred Reber to create an Action Plan to build and install planters at the center.  The team hopes to partner with the Hudson Garden Club to help the seniors garden in the planters, which will be handicapped accessible.

HOW I LIVE UNITED
Valerie Meadows, Fitts Insurance

"I've seen first hand how United Way of Tri-County supports our local community every year. It's comforting to know that donations made are distributed locally. Plus, the option is available to direct my contributions to a specific program. Because of that, I head up the Annual Campaign for Fitts Insurance in Framingham. That's how I LIVE UNITED."
