United Way of Tri-County Helps Kids Go Back to School Prepared to Learn
|
For the past 10 years, the United Way of Tri-County has worked to ensure that local kids return to school prepared to learn. Through the generosity of local companies and individuals they've raised more than $100,000 and distributed over 4000 backpacks to local kids through their Back-to-School Backpack Program.
This year 17 companies volunteered their time and donated their money to help make the program a success in 11 local youth serving agencies.

The United Way of Tri-County Women's Leadership
Council/Carmela Hilbert Scholarship, established as part of the on-going partnership between UWTC and Framingham State College, to benefit women who are immigrants to the United States or who are the daughters of immigrants to the United States, have been awarded to Stephanie Youssef, a first year student from Framingham, MA and Marta Reis, a transfer student from Hudson, MA.
