Scituate Animal Shelter E-News
Dear Friends,
Wow has a year passed quickly! On Saturday, June 26th, the Shelter will mark the first anniversary in our new home with a free community event. We hope you will join us to "Celebrate the Animals"... read more below under Coming Events.
Thank you for following our e-newsletter and as always, thank you for helping us give stray, abandoned and unwanted pets a safe and caring environment until we find them loving "forever homes". We are honored to be able to improve many animals' lives - one adoption at a time.
Animal News
- Available for adoption right now are some wonderful pets including sweet cats and playful kittens, spunky Chihuahuas and lovable Hounds, as well as a lively bird that can talk when he's inspired. All are waiting for a good home. Meet them and others at Petfinder.com or visit us during open hours (below) for the most current information.
- Featured Adoptable Animal: "Desmond" is a 5-month-old kitten who is simply a lovebug that longs to be cuddled! He will be a special pet for just the right home. You see, Desmond has been exposed to feline herpes which, like any type of herpes, is a life-long affliction. Feline herpes is just that, a feline strain, which means it is NOT contagious to dogs or humans. Read more about feline herpes Meet our lovebug Desmond the kitten.
