Greetings,
I hope everyone enjoyed the awesome ADDY Gala last month. By all accounts, it was a huge success and sets the bar for future events. Congratulations go out to our local award winners that recently competed at the District 12 ADDY competition. Local agencies continued to receive ADDY Gold and Silver. Gold winners will now represent our local market at the National ADDY competition in June.
With the end of the fiscal year up on us, I want to thank this year's Board of Directors for all the hard work on the club's reorganization and refocus. Many of our local-club focused initiatives will now start coming into fruition; supporting a brand promise of ENGAGEMENT, EDUCATION and RECOGNITION.
Industry support and involvement will be a key factor in the success of the new Phoenix Ad Club. We are now accepting self-nominations for the 2012-2013 Board of Directors. This leadership role will allow an active role in club operations and development. If you would like to submit a nomination for consideration, click here to obtain an official nomination form and return it by Friday, May 4.
GET INVOLVED! Another opportunity for engagement is participating on a committee. Here you can be part of the evolution of the club to develop club programs, member benefits, and educational opportunities or even help plan next years ADDYs! For a description of club committees, please visit our committee page. Of course if you just want to contribute on a smaller capacity, any time given will be greatly appreciated.
Finally, hope you can make it to our FREE Ad Club Happy Hour tonight at Vermillion Studios. This will be a great opportunity to mix and mingle with other industry professionals and have some fun.
Best,
Mark Anthony Munoz
AAFMP President

Rules for associating a color with a brand

According to Zelnick, starting with a color that is arbitrary, not functional, and weaving it consistently into an advertising message (such as "What can Brown do for you?") may persuade courts considering the issue.
