Hello Phoenix Ad Club members!
Are you ready for the new Phoenix Ad Club? I hope so! We're very excited about our new brand launching soon!
While you've been able to still access our website for information, we've been behind the scenes creating new ways to provide you with the best ROI for your membership dollars.
As you're soon to hear from other Committees, we've packed the calendar in the coming months with events, programs, workshops and networking.
Beginning February and every other month in 2012, you'll be informed of networking happy hours at various locations around the Valley. These events will be a great way to meet other members of the Ad Club and also our Board of Directors. We plan on having "special guests" at these gatherings plus we'll be giving away some great prizes to some lucky people in attendance.
As we roll out this "branding" of Your NEW Ad Club here in Phoenix, we're going to make sure we deliver three important items to you, our members. Those are:

- Education
- Recognition

EYE Arizona Sales Executive Recognized for Excellence
Mall media provider, EYE, congratulates the winner of their global Award for Sales Excellence to Kimm Holthaus, the EYE Regional Sales Executive of Phoenix. In quarter four, Kimm achieved 148% of her revenue target. Arizona is a thriving market and EYE is dependent on a key market specialist such as Kimm.
EYE VP of Sales, Carrie Fitzmaurice Daly said, "Kimm has overcome demanding challenges in her market and her success comes from her ability to anticipate clients' needs. Adobe Acquires Ad-Buying Firm Efficient Frontier
Adobe announced the acquisition of Efficient Frontier, a company that helps clients buy display and search advertising. The acquisition is expected to bolster Adobe's portfolio of online advertising services. Two years ago, the software company purchased Omniture for $1.6 billion. Terms of the Efficient Frontier deal were not disclosed. Full story here.
Research Shows Sales Growth in U.S. Ad Sector
A financial analysis provided by Sageworks indicates that creative shops, media buyers and public relations firms are seeing sales growth for the second straight year, with average increases up more than 11% in the past 12 months. Full story here.
Advertising Hits $1.5B for Q3
According to Media Post, out-of-home advertising revenue increased for the seventh consecutive quarter, 4.2% to $1.5 billion for the third quarter, compared with last year, according to Outdoor Advertising Association of America figures. Local advertisers, schools, media and restaurants led the categories. The Traffic Audit Bureau adds that digital signage is also growing. Full story here.
