GOIN' TO AFRICA !
As the season in the Northern Hemisphere turns to fall/autumn so everyone gets back to the reality of school and work after the long summer break.
For us at SPF it is time to start thinking about - and planning - for 2011. In particular we are beginning the process of working with groups of people that are interested in going out to Zambia to work on our community development project there.
Typically we can accommodate teams of up to 12 people and trips last for 20-21 days from the date of departure to the date of return home. Teams raise the money required for their travel, accommodation and food as well as one project item that they will work on during the time in the community. The trip concludes with a two day wildlife safari which can include the Victoria Falls, one of the seven natural wonders of the world.
There are a number of construction projects that teams can work on at the schools and health center, and a variety of other activities that take place during the time in Zambia. There are opportunities for anyone to put their skills and interests into helping the wonderful people of Zambia.
So please consider signing up for a team going to Zambia in 2011. If you cannot go please consider helping us to raise funds to send the teams and for the work that they will do there.
