YOUTH CORNER
Thinking about obtaining your Ontario Drivers License this summer?

Here are a few things you need to know before you start the process. In the province of Ontario you first need to get your G1 than your G2 and finally, your G driver's license.
The first step to getting your drivers license is to obtain your G1. Your G1 examination consists of a written test. You need to be at least 16 years of age or older in order to take the written exam for your G1 drivers license.
Once you have passed your G1 written test you will need to wait 1 year before you can go for your G2 road test. However, if you are enrolled in a driving school you have the option of taking your road test within after 8 months of obtaining your G1.
After you have obtained your G2 drivers license then you must wait one year before you can book an appointment to take your G (Full License) driving test.
To find out more information on how to obtain your Ontario Drivers License please connect with one of our Youth Information Counsellors by calling (905) 949-0049 ext. 1280 or via e-mail at nicyouth@tcet.com
