"Being busy does not always mean real work. The object of all work is production or accomplishment and to either of these ends there must be forethought, system, planning, intelligence, and honest purpose, as well as perspiration. Seeming to do is not doing."
Thomas Alva Edison (1847 - 1931) |

Immunization Services for Children New to Canada
A new school year is going to begin in September. Many children will be attending school for the very first time in Canada.
To register your child for school in Ontario, you need to prove all of the following:
Your child's Age, Address, Guardianship(only if your child is under 18 and is not living with a parent), Immigration Status and Immunization Record. The latter is to prove that your child has been immunized.
"My child was immunized outside Canada. My child's records are from another country and are not in English. How can I get them translated?" - a very common question asked by newcomers to Canada.
If your child has been immunized outside Ontario or Canada, additional immunizations may be needed to meet the requirements in this province. If your child has an immunization record that is not in English, Peel Public Health will translate it free of charge.
It's also important to know that Peel Public Health provides immunizations free of charge for children who do not have health insurance or OHIP.
For Peel Public Health clinics in your area or for more information about registering your child for school in Ontario, please contact nic@tcet.com or visit any of our locations. |
