NEW PROGRAM
Be Ready to Work in Tourism & Hospitality in just one month!
An excellent program funded by
Government for newcomers and all immigrants.
The program includes industry-specific training, certification and job placement assistance. Participants will graduate with 5 certificates including Tourism Essentials, Food Safety WHMIS.

NEW PROGRAM
Immigrant Women - Volunteer, Get Trained, Broaden Your Horizons
A Women's Centre is currently recruiting volunteers for a counselling program in Halton.
Immigrant women who are fluent in English and are passionate about helping other women are encouraged to apply. Women from Spanish-speaking and South Asian backgrounds are particularly encouraged to apply.

Need help filling a form?
Is it time to apply for Citizenship, extend visitor visa or file for a refugee claim?
Starting this month, you can get help applying for the following at your favourite Newcomer Information Centres (NIC):
- GST, Ontario Health Card, Child Tax benefit, Birth Registration
- Ontario Disability Support Program, Trillium Drug Program, Retirement pension/Old age security, Employment Insurance appeals
- Citizenship and Passport, PR Card renewal, Extension to visitor Visa and Work permit, Loss of Record of Landing, Replacement of Citizenship card, Refugee claim.

Do you have a technical background?
A new program is funded by the Government to prepare you to become Microsoft Office Specialist and Comp TIA Security+ certifications.

SEASONAL
7-week Summer Camp at no charge!
An exciting Summer Camp will run for seven weeks starting July 13. The focus will be to develop the capacities of youth and youth with disabilities through workshops, leadership training and interactive learning activities. Arts and crafts, swimming and sports will part of the camp.

The Newcomer Information Centre is an innovative program that provides free settlement information to newcomers and residents from a number of accessible locations across Peel. A smooth transition into Canadian life is critical to success and our program provides accurate referrals to make this happen. Clients work with friendly multi-lingual staff and get confidential counselling about employment, health, housing, education, language training and more. Counsellors speak Punjabi, Spanish, Arabic, Urdu, Tagalog, Farsi, Mandarin, Romanian, Croatian, Russian, Serbian, French, German, Polish, Swahili, Tamil, Hindi and Pashto.
Drop-by at any of our locations to speak with a counsellor. No appointment is required.
