Saturday, July 30, 2011 Join the stars of SO YOU THINK YOU CAN DANCE and many others like Carrie Ann Inaba, Tabitha and Napoleon, Robert Autin, Billy Blanks Jr. and Sharon Catherine Blanks, as they celebrate the Second Annual National Dance Day!
Last year, Congress made it official, that National Dance Day was to be a nationwide event to promote health, happiness and DANCE!
This year, join us at Six Flags Magic Mountain from 8:30 am to 10:00 am and learn easy to master routines created by Mary Murphy, and learn from the best...and enjoy a day of Dance, Fitness and Togetherness!

MEET NEW MUSICAL DIRECTOR - NORMA LATUCHIE
 We are very excited to introduce you to our newest creative staff memeber - NORMA LATUCHIE - who joins TESOCAL in our Pasadena production of SEUSSICAL!
The kids have already met her, and now we want to offer you a small introduction to Norma!
NORMA LATUCHIE (Bio): Graduate of Manhattan School of Music in classical flute performance; Attended Berklee College of Music studying jazz and composition/arranging; More than 30 years of performance experience as an orchestral and jazz musician; Performances at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall, on Broadway; Recordings for television and film; Tours of Asia, Europe, USA, and Brazil; Co-Composer/ Co-Writer/ Co-Director of original musical, Newton's Cradle; Pro-Tools Editor; Co-Producer of CD, "From Tom to Tom" A Tribute to Jobim, featuring Toninho Horta; California K-12 Single Subject (Music) Teaching Credential; Performed and/or recorded with Kenny Werner, Astrud Gilberto, Toninho Horta, Romero Lubambo, Joe Lovano, Tom Rainey, Jane Ira Bloom, Ratzo Harris, Bill Frisell, Whitney Houston, Mariah Carey, Judy Collins and many others. Norma has more than 35 years of teaching and performance experience, including pre-Kindergarten through university level in public and private educational settings. She has also developed instrumental music and arts programs for elementary aged students and teens. On behalf of Sherry, David, Chris, Will, Mitzi, Kim, Jill, Susie, Kevin, Isabella, Sam, Clarke and the families of Pasadena, we welcome Norma to the TESOCAL Family! |

FIELD TRIPS
Field trip attendance by local schools is essential to the success of our program. Not only do they benefit us, but they are beneficial to the teachers and students who attend! Did you know that our productions assist teaches in fulfilling their VAPA Content Standards as put forth by the Department of Education? This makes our productions an even better choice for teachers to use when making their choices for field trips for their students. Just download the field trip flier and invite the teachers from your child's school to consider us when making plans for field trip for their spring session. |
