REGISTRATIONS STILL ACCEPTED - BRING A FRIEND Besides...it's the BEST way to support TESOCAL!
Our shows are a BLAST! Not just for the audience members who watch our productions, but for the cast as well, as they work hard to reach that final curtain call. The only thing that makes our shows even more fun, is doing the show with friends and family members!
Don't keep TESOCAL a secret! The BEST way to SUPPORT TESOCAL is by bringing in new friends to join the program! Plus, it will make your summer production much more fun by performing with friends and watching TESOCAL grow... We still have room to accept more registrations, so why not give the GIFT of musical theatre education and performance, and invite a friend (or family member) to participate in the cast as well! Makes the perfect graduation gift! Great gift for theatre lovers!

FIELD TRIPS
Field trip attendance by local schools is essential to the success of our program. Not only do they benefit us, but they are beneficial to the teachers and students who attend! Did you know that our productions assist teaches in fulfilling their VAPA Content Standards as put forth by the Department of Education? This makes our productions an even better choice for teachers to use when making their choices for field trips for their students. TIME IS OF THE ESSENSE! TEACHERS BOOK FALL FIELD TRIPS NOW! AND YOU CAN HELP by spreading the news to YOUR teachers and other teachers at your child's school! Plus, it's great for your child's peers to support your child and cheer them on while they perform for their classmates! Just download the field trip flier and invite the teachers from your child's school to consider us when making plans for field trip for their spring session. |

REHEARSAL TIPS AND ADVICE
The most successful productions are the ones that have the most successful rehearsals! You know the old saying..."Practice makes Perfect!" Well here is a list of things you can do to get the MOST out of your rehearsal experience!
- ARRIVE EARLY - Plan on arriving to rehearsal at least 10 minutes before your groups start time. This will allow for you to check in at the front table and take care of any program needs you may have such as costuming, ticket ordering or generic questions you may need answered.
- DRESS FOR SUCCESS - We request that everyone dresses in comfortable clothing fit for physical activity. This is NOT a fashion show! So wear clothes that cover you well and are stretchable! No dresses, skirts, or clothing not condusive to rolling around on the floor! Also, in regards to footwear...NO OPEN TOED SHOES of any kind! Make sure to wear comfortable shows that cover your toes and ankles.
- BATTERY OPERATED TAPE RECORDER - during rehearsals we allow cast members to record their vocal warm-ups and music being taught for rehearsal throughout the week. Please provide your cast member with a battery operated tape recorder that is CLEARLY LABELED with your child's name on it.
- WATER AND SUPPLIES - we encourage everyone to bring a bottle of water with them to each rehearsal. Only plastic containers and only water! No outside food or beverages will be allowed into rehearsal. And make sure to bring your script and any other items you may need during rehearsal, such as a pencil, highlighting pen and extra paper to take notes.
- MAKE FRIENDS - plan on missing a rehearsal? Make a friend and meet with them prior to coming back to rehearsal and get filled in on what you missed! This way you can get caught up and not feel left behind!
- PRACTICE - just because we rehearse once a week, does not mean that is all you need to become successful. We encourage all cast members to rehearse periodically throughout the week to review what has already been taught so each week we can move FORWARD with new production elements.
