PANHANDLING FOR POLIO THIS SATURDAY: JOIN ROTARACTORS

When local Rotarians find out that there are local Rotaract Clubs, we always get asked "What can we do to help?" Well, now is your chance. This Saturday we are doing Panhandling for Polio. We will be "panhandling" along area freeway exits for donations for Rotary's Polio Plus Challenge. I would love it if you would support us. You can help in the following ways:

1.      Come panhandle - If you have ever wanted to try panhandling, now is your chance. You are especially wanted if you will be a street performer with an instrument, juggling, or fire breathing (we are short on fire breathers).   Together, Rotaractors, Interactors, and Rotarians will be panhandling in Beaverton, Vancouver, and Tualatin/Lake Oswego from 9am to 1pm.

2.       Donate online - we have setup
www.PanhandlingForPolio.com to give information and accept credit card donations.

3.       Stop by - At the website you can find the locations we will be at. Stop by and visit and see what is going on.

4.       Spread the word - If you would be willing to spread the word about the project it would be great. Tell people on Facebook, Twitter (#PanhandlingForPolio), email, or anyway you can think of.   If you have any questions about the project or club take a look at the website above. You can also e-mail Josh Cox with questions. Thank you for the support.

Please forward this email to help us gather volunteers and donations!

HEALTH & HUNGER ACTIVITIES IN YOUR CLUB THIS YEAR

We need your help!  Please report your club's activities on Health & Hunger from July 1 to date.

This might include international activities such as water, sanitation, micro banking supporting agriculture, malaria, funding for polio, HIV or AIDS, diabetes treatment or prevention.

Or, it might include local activities like Loaves and Fishes (meals on wheels), other types of food support, collecting for Oregon or Washington Food Bank, immunization support, HIV or AIDS, etc.

Please report back to Warren Banks, District Coordinator for Health and Hunger, by October 31, 2009.  Just put the name of your club in the subject and list any projects or activities.  Thanks!

Rotarily,
DG Kristi Halvorson
