[Ownership Experience]

This Sunday, April 15th, at 1:30 p.m., we will be having our Ownership Experience Meeting in the Warehouse. Here at City Church, we have Owners, and not members. Members have rights, but owners have responsibilities, and during this time we'll explore City Church's vision and mission and let you know how you can take an ownership role in your church. Register online here!

[City Church 101]
Our City Church 101 meeting will be taking place after both services this Sunday, April 15th. During this time, you can hear more about who we are at City Church, see why we do what we do, ask any questions you've got, and learn how you can start getting involved into taking your next steps.
[City Church App]
City Church now has our very own App available on the iPhone and Android Markets! You can easily access our Twitter and Facebook pages, watch or listen to previous sermons, and view all upcoming local City Church events. Download it to your smartphone today to stay up-to-date with your City Church Community.
[Baptisms]
On Sunday, April 22nd, 2012, we will be celebrating those that are going public with their faith by being baptized after each service. If you're interested in being baptized, you can sign up online here, and if you'd like to learn more about baptism, stop by Guest Services this Sunday to ask any questions you may have.

[New Christian?]
Have you recently accepted Christ? Learn all about the next steps you can take, like how and why to read your Bible, why prayer is important, and how being in a community group matters. Our next class, "I'm a Christian, Now What?" will be held on Sunday, April 22nd, 2012, at 4:30 p.m. in the warehouse. Go ahead and register online here!

Reflections from our Senior Leadership Team on Easter at the Civic Center

staffpic
I saw the answer to the question we have been asking...why not Tallahassee? In front of my eyes I saw the greatest gathering of the Church in our city's history. We are just getting started for the gospel. Thank you City Church. What a day!

--Dean Inserra, Lead Pastor

staffpicI was on stage after the first music set ready to prompt the offering when the spoken word video came on.  We forgot to ask people to sit down, and in an unreal moment, seeing the faces of thousands still standing and lit from the glow of projectors, I thought "this isn't an instant replay on the jumbotron at Doak, it's church at the Civic Center with people glued to someone talking about Jesus ..."  I fought back tears as I saw Dean's vision for reaching Tallahassee so clearly.

--Matthew Robinson, Executive Pastor

staffpicSeeing the hundreds of hands raised representing the hundreds of people who crossed from death to eternal life on Sunday was a glimpse of what God is doing in Tallahassee and the best is yet to come!  Being with our volunteers as they prayed with who became Christ followers on Easter was almost overwhelming but in the best way ever!

--Lee Ellzey, Connections Director

staffpicEaster at the Civic Center was such an incredible event to be a part of. I was encouraged and overwhelmed by the love and support of the City Church Kids Volunteers. They completely rocked it! I have never seen a group of volunteers so excited to create, maintain and do whatever it takes to keep a safe and fun environment for these kids while teaching them about Jesus. The smiles on the kid's faces during service and the fact that most of them didn't want to leave confirmed what an amazing team of volunteers we have. -

--Alexis Carswell, Kid's Director

There are two things that I will remember more than anything else from Easter at the CC. The first is how selfless the production volunteers were with set-up and tear down. They are the best team on the planet. The other is the hundreds of hands that shot in to the air when Pastor Dean gave the invitation.

--Alex Scott, Production Director

I was running around before the service helping anyone that needed anything. When I went upstairs to the front patio and lobby, I was blown away with emotion by our First Impressions Team as I saw them walking the thousands of people from the parking lot to the front door! Everyone was working together to form relationships and invest in each the lives of each person who walked into the Civic Center that day, and it was the most humbling experience to witness and be a part of.

--Vonna Hall, Communications Director

A moment I will never forget about Easter 2012 is all the hands that were raised in response of people meeting Jesus for the first time! There were hands everywhere. That is why we went to the Civic Center!

--James Parsons, Director of Excitement

I can barely put into words my experience from Easter Sunday. I was blown away by the efforts and talents of our teams of volunteers and staff. There are so many little victories from the day to celebrate! But the most incredible part of the day was seeing over 3,700 people gathered in the Civic Center to hear the Gospel. This is what City Church is all about--sharing the good news of Jesus with the people of Tallahassee, and we're going to keep on until every person hears!

--Ashlyn Portero, Assistant to the Lead Pastor

We spent almost a year planning for Easter at The Civic Center. However, last Sunday was far greater or more powerful than any of us could have imagined. Seeing our band do such a phenomenal job leading worship for over 3,700 plus people was something too good for "plan" for. Dean's been asking us, "Why Not, Tallahassee?!" for years...and on Sunday I got the perfect representation of what he means. God is working in Tallahassee!
