[This Sunday] We continue with our summer series, "The Minors." After both services, we will be having our monthly City Church 101 meeting.
Pastor Dean will be preaching through the longest minor prophet book, Zechariah, where he will talk about the big plan for God's redemption. You will not want to miss one second of this exciting series!
We hope you can join us this Sunday at 11:15 a.m. or 6:00 p.m.

[City Speak]
by Erin Price
Being the new kid in town, naturally the first question asked is, "Where are you from?" When I say New York City the immediate response is, "Oh wow, are you in total culture shock?" My answer is usually the
same, "Not shock, I knew it would be different, but I am happy I took this leap." However, on some days you will get me saying a big fat "YES, I miss the food!"
My journey to Tallahassee began with a small tug at my heart while finishing graduate school at NYU. My professor and mentor sat me down and said if I wanted to tackle the dreams I thought I was called to, government and education reform, then I needed to get out of NYC and dive into a smaller community. So, I kept asking God what it was He wanted from me. Then I was presented with an introduction to my current employer and on the morning before Christmas Eve I sat at my computer to accept their offer and move to Tallahassee. It was not an easy decision and the adjustment here has been challenging. But, what I knew I had to do first was find a church home. By God's perfect timing, my first visit to City Church was when Dean preached about living a counter-cultural life and quoted Tim Keller, the pastor of Redeemer Presbyterian Church, my church home in NYC. That sermon grabbed my heart because this is a struggle that Christians must tackle head on. "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God's will is-his good, pleasing and perfect will." Romans 12:2
And the rest was history...I immediately wanted to plug in, join a Community Group, and offer to help. The friends I have made in Tallahassee have mostly all been through the church and THANK YOU for making me feel at home here so quickly. I cannot wait to see the impact City Church will have on Tallahassee.
I would like to end on a quote from Mother Theresa because as the Lord directs my path, I live
striving for these words. We are all called for a higher purpose, and if we listen to Him, this will be the result: "Small things done with great love will change the world."
