 ::FOURTH OF JULY  

This Fourth of July, City Church is proud to be the corporate sponsor of the City of Tallahassee's Celebrate America event at Tom Brown Park. We still need volunteers to help man a drink station and our City Church booth where we'll get to meet people and talk about City Church. I am not a vegetarian.

Glad I got to clear that up.

For the past 5 years, Dean has been telling people that I am a vegetarian.  At some point I got so tired of defending myself that I just let him go on doing it.  Because of this, I've had a few encounters with people who actually think I am a vegetarian (usually as I'm about to take a giant bite of my cheeseburger).

I am one of the original founding "24," as Dean likes to call us.  I've been honored and blessed to take part and watch this church grow and evolve into what we have today. And now we find ourselves at a new milestone in the history of our church. We have somehow managed to be the main sponsor of Tallahassee's fireworks extravaganza that is happening on Monday.  I can't believe it.  It's one of the biggest events Tallahassee puts on.  Do you realize the potential we have to reach our city in those few hours?? Thousands of people will be across the street from our Warehouse, and we have the opportunity to reach them.

How did this happen?! How in the world did we go from 24 people....to...this?

The Lord.

Get ready folks. Amazing things have already happened in the short life of our church.  And even more amazing things are about to happen, things that we cannot even ask for or imagine. Our church is growing like never before, and it's only going to get better.

Be at Tom Brown Park on Monday.  And be at church the following Sunday. I can't wait to see what the Lord has in store for us the rest of this summer and this coming fall!
