Well Said
Opportunity Is Knocking. Will We Answer? by Dean Inserra I believe we currently
stand at a crossroads when it comes to our local Church community we
call The Well. Please do not be mistaken, God is certainly at work and
without question, lives are being impacted. The next few months,
however, will chart our future in making an impact in our city. The Lord
has given us a tremendous opportunity to move into a new facility on
Capital Circle. This new location allows us to establish permanence,
achieve a higher quality of excellence in carrying out our vision, serve
the community in greater ways, and reach children and families with an
everlasting truth in this ever-changing culture. I have a passion that burns like a fire to not be Church as usual. I
do not want to be a body of believers who get excited for a season and
then settle into the comfort of a Church they like and friends they
simply and casually enjoy life alongside. I want to continue to be a
Church that consists of God's people, set apart, to turn this city
upside-down with the Gospel. URGENCY is the word
that I cannot get out of my mind, and that keeps me up at night. While I
do not expect everyone to live in that same mindset, I do expect the
people that call The Well their Church home to take ownership of this
crucial fork in the road where the Lord has us standing. Do we move to the next level, reaching your friends and mine, or do
we become a Church that had some fun for a few years and then shifted
into mediocrity? Every decision I make in terms of vision is based on
whether or not I think it will help us connect with our friends who need
to know Christ. The decisions are also made on making sure our children
will grow up in a Church they love. Things are going very well right now. We are far from mediocre. I
have never been more encouraged by the investment I have seen by so many
this summer. As your Pastor I have to think big picture and look ahead
to the future. Our next big step is to raise the $100,000 needed to
provide a greater opportunity to reach our friends. There is something
about being in the South and having a building that allows you to
penetrate deeper into a lost religious culture. With the blessing of our
Leadership Team at The Well, we took the step of faith and moved
forward believing God would provide. The amazing thing is that God uses
the blessings He has given us as the means to do that providing. Will you be more generous, regular, and sacrificial with your
giving? Let's take a huge step into the future by responding to
this incredible opportunity God has right in front of us. |
