Please join me in asking God for even more in 2010. We our
thankful to the Lord for what we experienced over the past year, and
also believe that He did not call to us to have a Church that looks
back at the past. At the Well, we want to always be moving forward.
I am praying to see more baptisms than we ever could imagine. That
is my number one prayer and I cannot get it off my mind. Romans
10:13-15 continues to ignite my passion to see a city come to know the
name of Jesus.
13for, "Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."
14How, then, can they call on the
one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of
whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone
preaching to them? 15And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!"
God allows us, the Church, to be major players in making His name
known to our friends. What a tremendous honor and responsibility.
I am not one for New Year's Resolutions, but if we were all going to
do one together, how about we resolve to be more like Jesus? More
loving, compassionate, and serious about the Message. I am still
convinced that we are the most like Christ when we are loving people
who do not know Him.
Our sermon series for the winter and spring of 2010 are called: Wait Till Next Year, Neutered, Glamorous, and The Gospel. These are four exciting series that I hope will get you pumped about being a part of worship gatherings at the Well.
Please be someone who prays, serves and gives. We need you to take a major role in those areas for 2010.
While the year is new, our mission does not change the slightest
bit. We are called to take an everlasting truth to an ever-changing
culture. Many of you have stories of how God has made himself known to
you over the past year. Please share your story with others and invite
them to join you in following Christ.
