everlasting truth, ever-changing culture
eWell Header

The Well is a church that is committed to connecting with the unchurched community of Tallahassee. It is the desire of the Well to create an atmosphere that is engaging to this generation in the twenty-first century. While the culture of Tallahassee is always changing, we believe that the message of Jesus Christ is as relevant today as it was 2,000 years ago. The Well is a church that will speak an everlasting truth in an ever-changing culture.

NEW YEAR NEEDS

Looking for a way to get involved?  We need your help!

Setup/Tear Down: We're looking for reinforcements for our crews to help setup and tear down before and after our services.  Step up and contact Lawton Graves (lawton@nomorethirst.org) to help.

Video: We've lost two of our camera operators!  Pick your service (you don't miss a thing) and help us video record so services can be offered online.  Contact Cari Bradley (cari@nomorethirst.org).

Computer: Ever wonder how those words appear on the screen?  It's as simple and easy as clicking from slide to slide, and we're looking for more help.  Anyone can assist in this important part of our Sunday services!  Contact Cari Bradley (cari@nomorethirst.org).

Well Kids: With lots of children being taught during both services, we need Well Kids volunteers for the new year.  If you're interested and want to work with babies, toddlers, or elementary age students, contact Sarah Graves (sarah@thewelltallahassee.com).

Well Said
"Christmas On the Moon" by Dean Inserra

d There is just something about Christmas that draws people together. Even those without any type of Christian belief will buy gifts, decorate the tree, and head "home for the holidays." I cannot think of a greater time and opportunity to share the Gospel by telling the Christmas story to those who are already in love with the "holiday season."

It is so easy for us to embrace everything about the Christmas season that distracts us from celebrating the fact that Emmanuel, God himself came to this Earth to take our punishment for sin upon himself in his death. In John chapter 20, Jesus said that just as the Father had sent him into the world, that he is doing the same with those who claim to be his disciples. I believe the greatest way to celebrate Christmas is to rejoice in Christ being "sent" by embracing our position as his followers by being "sent" ourselves.

Christmas is about the Gospel. Nothing more, Nothing less. The Gospel is a story to be told.

The Lord has given us an amazing opportunity to tell the story of Christmas. This Sunday we will celebrate our 2nd annual Christmas On The Moon worship gathering. Please join us at the Moon for this event.

Please do not come alone. There are people in your life that do not consider themselves Christians, but know every word to every Christmas song they hear. They love Christmas. They are open to coming.

They just need an invitation.

There are also people in your life who would consider themselves to be Christians, but that title/association has little impact on their daily lives. Your friends need to know that the very message of Christmas that they will hear sitting next to Granny at their hometown Christmas Eve service changes EVERYTHING.

We will tell the life-changing, history altering, story of Christmas this week and I cannot wait to experience it at the Moon. Part of our evening at the Moon will be collecting an offering to bring Clean Water for Christmas to many who need it in Africa. Please consider spending less this Christmas so you can give more.  Building clean water wells in Africa is part of our response to this incredible story of God's love that we call Christmas.

Please do not get caught up in petitions to bring "Merry Christmas" back and things that DO NOT MATTER. Get caught up in Jesus and making his story known to those who need to hear it.

See you tonight night at Mint Lounge for our Christmas party and Sunday for Christmas On The Moon.
