everlasting truth, ever-changing culture
eWell Header

The Well is a church that is committed to connecting with the unchurched community of Tallahassee. It is the desire of the Well to create an atmosphere that is engaging to this generation in the twenty-first century. While the culture of Tallahassee is always changing, we believe that the message of Jesus Christ is as relevant today as it was 2,000 years ago. The Well is a church that will speak an everlasting truth in an ever-changing culture.

this Sunday

This Sunday we go unplanned and unscripted with You Pick Live.  Join us for a unique service experience where you'll call the shots by texting in questions on your mind  for Dean to answer.  We hope you'll take this opportunity to invite your friends to a one of a kind church experience!

WE NEED YOUR HELP!
Sundays happen in large part because of our amazing volunteers!

Our Setup and Tear down teams are in desperate need of assistance.  If you can serve with the morning crew for setup or with the evening crew for tear down, as we load and unload three trailers to transform a high school auditorium into a church each week, we'd love your help.

We're at URGENT NEED LEVELS.  Please contact Lawton Graves (lawton@nomorethirst.org) today and let him know that you can lend a hand.  Thank you in advance you for helping make The Well happen!

Well Said
"Oh My!" by Jovanna Gomez

Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. (Ephesians 5:15-17)

As you've probably heard and hopefully witnessed, Dean just finished preaching a series called Dateable. It's awesome. The church [in my opinion and maybe yours], does a great job at speaking to married people and does an okay job at addressing singles, but it doesn't do any job of talking to people who are dating. Well.... leave it to Dean to do so.

This short series took a look at what God says about relationships and what it means to be men and women who are ready for them. I think the series has challenged us all to examine our lives and to align our behavior with what we claim to believe [the Gospel] in order to be dateable. Dateable as a radically different concept than what the world claims it is. Knowing that my being dateable means I live my life in line with what God wants of me is refreshing, it's liberating.

In our small groups we've talked about what that means for each of us. I love my Tuesday night college girls (and Monday too, but I'm about to talk about Tuesday) and last Tuesday, after Jess Tadlock referred to something she'd recently read, we decided that bad decisions aren't an island. We don't go from no decision to really bad decision in 0 to 60. It's more like a series of itty bitty, I barely noticed I made this decision, bad decisions.

So, we challenged ourselves. Forever but specifically, for this week; let's be wise.

We are going to take a look at our decisions. Those itty bitty ones that lead to oh my! big ones. And we're going to see what the effect is, of being wise, in the choices we make- every step of the way.  This week, I challenge you to do the same. Hopefully, creating this one week experiment will lead to a life changing habit.
