everlasting truth, ever-changing culture

The Well is a church that is committed to connecting with the unchurched community of Tallahassee. It is the desire of the Well to create an atmosphere that is engaging to this generation in the twenty-first century. While the culture of Tallahassee is always changing, we believe that the message of Jesus Christ is as relevant today as it was 2,000 years ago. The Well is a church that will speak an everlasting truth in an ever-changing culture.

This Sunday

This Sunday Dean begins a new series, "789" which will focus on Romans 7, 8, and 9.  Dean will reference Romans 7 and 8.

Summer Location Change

The Well is now  meeting at Covenant Presbyterian Church (2221 Old Bainbridge Road) at 5:30 p.m. on Sundays.  Join us this summer (May, June, and July) as we prepare to head back to Godby and two services in the Fall!

Well Said
"Summer at The Well" by Dean Inserra

d
Summer at the Well officially kicked off last week with our first worship service at Covenant Presbyterian Church. We are looking forward to calling Covenant home for the rest of May, June and July. We also had a great time at our first college community group of the summer. The college students are in a summer-long discussion about influencing culture and the responsibility of the local Church.

Starting June 2nd, two of our Adult community groups will be combining for the summer. This is going to be a very healthy time of multi-generation fellowship and discussion.

This summer we are focusing on building community and preparing to launch our 11:05, second worship service option on August 23rd. We are also committing the summer to challenging everyone at the Well to prioritize reading their Bibles. We announced this past Sunday that we would spend the week reading through Romans. I encourage everyone to set aside time before Sunday to engage in this incredible book of the Bible. The late theologian Carl F.H. Henry once said that the greatest question one can ask is not whether or not there is a God, but rather "has that God spoken?"

It is an amazing privilege and act of grace that our God has spoken to us. He has spoken through His word and it is our responsibility as believers to be students of scripture and eagerly anticipate what our Lord is saying to us. Our God is not silent!

This Sunday evening we will be working through parts of Romans chapters 7 and 8. I look forward to spending time in scripture with you at the Well, on the road, at Covenant Presbyterian.

I also believe that this summer brings us a tremendous opportunity to reach people who do not know Christ. Many folks are looking for things to do during the summer. What a great time to invite some neighbors over for a cookout and build relationships. This is our responsibility. This is Christ-like. While reading through Romans this week you will see the importance of connecting with our lost friends in Romans chapter 10. Please pray during your time in that text for God to convict you to bring the good news to those He loves.

Lets dive full speed into the summer by building community, prayerfully preparing for August 23rd, studying God's Word, and most importantly....connecting with those who do not know Christ.
