everlasting truth, ever-changing culture |
The
Well is a church that is committed to connecting with the unchurched
community of Tallahassee. It is the desire of the Well to create an
atmosphere that is engaging to this generation in the twenty-first
century. While the culture of Tallahassee is always changing, we
believe that the message of Jesus Christ is as relevant today as it was
2,000 years ago. The Well is a church that will speak an everlasting
truth in an ever-changing culture.

Easter On The Moon
|

Easter on the Moon is THIS Sunday. Join us at one of Tallahassee's premiere night clubs for an Easter service like none other. We are praying for 1,000 people to gather with us and hear God's word. Help get them there by extending an invitation to your friends, family, classmates, and coworkers. Join the facebook event and visit EasterOnTheMoon.com for more information. Seats will fill up--get there early if you want a chair for you and your friends on the floor. WANT TO HELP? - We begin setting up on Sunday at Noon--join us for an hour (or four!) as we transform a night club into a place to hold church for an evening.
- Pray! Please pray for our staff, our volunteers, and for all those coming this Sunday.
- We seriously need ushers and greeters to fill remaining holes on our volunteer team as we create the most welcoming atmosphere in Tallahassee at the Moon. If you are interested in lending a hand, starting at 4:30 p.m., please contact Lauren Rocco, Director of Guest Services, at lauren@nomorethirst.org. There's a free "Let's Bounce" t-shirt in it for you!

Well Said
|
"Let's Bounce" by Dean Inserra A quote that has inspired our staff over the past few months was coined
by Pastor Craig Groeschel of LifeChurch.tv. He said that to "reach the people no one
else is reaching...you have to do things no one else is doing." This
Sunday is The Well's ultimate example of putting that great principle
into practice. The Tallahassee religious scene is full of churches
famous for doing a great job of reaching Church people. By
building a bigger youth room, or having more programs "for the family", churches are able to get folks to try all they have to offer on their
docked, Christian Cruise Ship. Keeping Church people happy, busy, and
entertained are the unspoken (and non-admitted) goals.
What about the people who do not know Christ and as a result will
be punished for their sins for all eternity? These people are all over
Tallahassee. They are friends, neighbors, and sadly...family members.
Easter is a day when folks who never step within 100 yards of a local
Church will at least have a conversation about showing up. Easter for
many Church folks is simply a day where you dress a little nicer and
sit next to Granny. What would it look like if we capitalized on this
day and truly did something that nobody else in Tallahassee is doing? I
am thrilled that our calling from God to reach the people no one else
is reaching has led us back to the Moon. This Sunday, many volunteers
from the Well will begin setting up at noon for our 5:30 worship
gathering at one of Tallahassee's most famous spots. I cannot get my
mind off of that evening because I believe the potential to have an
eternal impact on our friends, classmates, and co-workers is unlimited.
I can kiss sleep goodbye this week because I am so pumped!
At the same time, my heart is heavy thinking about how lost and far
from God our city truly sits. Christians in Tallahassee are often in
denial about the spiritual state of our city. I am convinced it is
because they are hiding behind their religious white picket fence they
have placed around themselves and their family. This city which we love
needs to be turned upside down, from religion to following Christ. I
believe we are called to be the vehicles to make the love of Christ
known in our town. Our prayer and goal is to gather with 1,000 people this Sunday
at the Moon. We believe that numbers matter a lot because they represent
people. Real, individual, people who need to hear the Gospel.
Please join us in praying for this event. We also need you to make
the strongest effort possible to bring the folks that already trust you
because of the relationship you share together. I cannot wait till this
Sunday when we get to live the vision of the Well together. Lets pray
that this Sunday will launch a movement in Tallahassee that points this
city to the person and saving work of Christ. His resurrection gives us
the assurance that He is God!
