The Well is a church that is committed to connecting with the unchurched community of Tallahassee. It is the desire of the Well to create an atmosphere that is engaging to this generation in the twenty-first century. While the culture of Tallahassee is always changing, we believe that the message of Jesus Christ is as relevant today as it was 2,000 years ago. The Well is a church that will speak an everlasting truth in an ever-changing culture.

Hi. This is Ellie (Marty's daughter).

Just like sometimes happens in the Sunday newspaper cartoon Family Circus, my Daddy has been on vacation and is taking a break.

So, he asked me to step in to do today's Well Said.

As a fifth grader, I'm doing and learning tons almost every day. Between a European report, Spelling Tests, Map Tests, Math Tests, Bible recitations and Homework there's a lot going on. And, it can be a little stressful (or even a lot stressful.) I'm sure that a lot of you can relate.

However, this has been a great year for me. It's been great primarily because God has become more and more real to me.

Every morning we sing worship songs and we pray together and for one another in our prayer groups in our class. And through that experience, God has become more real to me and for me.

The lesson learned is how God is new every morning, how He has blessed me in many ways, and has shown Himself through the way that He answers prayers. I can even see Jesus alive in my classroom living in and through my classmates, my teacher and me.

Sometimes, I even pretend that He is sitting right next to me and going with me throughout the day. And reality is - He is.

Through this experience, I'm learning how important it is to meet with God every morning and spend time with Him every day.

I hope what I'm learning as a 5th Grader will carry on with me for the rest of my life.

Maybe this is something that will help you in your faith walk too.

As Daddy always says...
