The Well is a church that is committed to connecting with the unchurched community of Tallahassee. It is the desire of the Well to create an atmosphere that is engaging to this generation in the twenty-first century. While the culture of Tallahassee is always changing, we believe that the message of Jesus Christ is as relevant today as it was 2,000 years ago. The Well is a church that will speak an everlasting truth in an ever-changing culture.

"For the single most important institution shaping Western culture is the university. It is at the university that our future political leaders, our journalists, our teachers, our business executives, our lawyers, our artists, will be trained. It is at the university that they will formulate or, more likely, simply absorb the worldview that will shape their lives. And since these are the opinion-makers and leaders who shape our culture, our worldview that they imbibe at the university will be the one that shapes our culture. If the Christian worldview can be restored to a place of prominence and respect at the university, it will have a leavening effect throughout society. If we change the university, we change our culture through those who shape culture." (Moreland & Craig)

WELL SAID
"Upside Down" by Dean Inserra

d When we started the Well, I never thought we were called to just start a Church. We were called to turn a city upside down. I still believe that and I cannot wait to see it continue to happen. There is truly something special taking place at Godby High School on Sunday evenings and at community groups throughout town during the week.

Now is the time to move forward stronger than ever. I am literally praying that God uses us to impact Tallahassee in a way that has never before been seen. We have a ton of momentum right now and I cannot express the joy in my heart at seeing so many folks bring friends who need to hear about Christ to the Well. We are truly called to reach this city. The mission field is right in front of our eyes.

We took a major step in that direction this past Sunday by launching our new Well Kids ministry, The Ark. I want to publicly thank Sarah and Lawton Graves, as well as everyone who was involved in the launching of The Ark. We can strongly and confidently answer "YES" whenever anyone asks the question, "do you guys have anything for Kids?" We are committed to reaching this city, and I honestly believe we will see families come to Christ due to the launching of The Ark.  Now is the time to invite friends with children. We are ready to teach them the Gospel and we have the vehicle in place to do so. An effective and excellent ministry takes time to develop. Thank you to Sally Acuff for getting our Well Kids ministry off the ground, and the many folks who carried us to the place where Sarah could step in and lead us into the future. Sarah is sharp, passionate, and desires to see children come to a knowledge of the truth of the Gospel. We are pumped to see what the Lord is going to do with The Ark!

This weekend is going to be a big one for the Well. We leave for our One Night Stand event on Friday at St. George Island. My friends Jonathan Merritt, Jill Phillips, and Andy Gullahorn will be joining us for the exciting Retreat. Jill and Andy are Nashville recording artists and will be leading our worship Sunday night at Godby. This is going to be a powerful evening and I really encourage everyone to bring friends to the Well for our 5:30 worship service.

We also need you. We need you to step up more than ever in the area of giving. As we move forward in reaching Tallahassee, the needs continue to increase. Giving is just as much an act of worship as prayer, Bible study, gathering together, etc. Please prayerfully consider your own personal financial giving and how you can serve the Lord in this area.  What an exciting time to be in Tallahassee and to be at the Well!

Please join me in praying for urgency to see an overchurched and under-reached city come to know the love of Christ.

See you this Sunday at 5:30
