The Well is a church that is committed to connecting with the unchurched community of Tallahassee. It is the desire of the Well to create an atmosphere that is engaging to this generation in the twenty-first century. While the culture of Tallahassee is always changing, we believe that the message of Jesus Christ is as relevant today as it was 2,000 years ago. The Well is a church that will speak an everlasting truth in an ever-changing culture.

"For the single most important institution shaping Western culture is the university. It is at the university that our future political leaders, our journalists, our teachers, our business executives, our lawyers, our artists, will be trained. It is at the university that they will formulate or, more likely, simply absorb the worldview that will shape their lives. And since these are the opinion-makers and leaders who shape our culture, our worldview that they imbibe at the university will be the one that shapes our culture. If the Christian worldview can be restored to a place of prominence and respect at the university, it will have a leavening effect throughout society. If we change the university, we change our culture through those who shape culture." (Moreland & Craig)

THIS Sunday, February 1st, the Well will be meeting at 11:05 a.m. at Godby High School.  (We will not be having an evening service this Sunday).

WELL SAID
"Random Thoughts" by Jen Simmons, at 4:00 a.m.

d In no particular order:

1)    I am SUPER pumped about getting the College Senior Ladies community group rolling again this spring semester.  We are changing up locations and times to hopefully open it up to more ladies!  Be ready for some coffee, hot chocolate, muffins, and a look into the Word, discussing what Dean presented the previous Sunday.  I pray that it will be a place for people to truly connect.

2)    How AMAZINGLY awesome is it that Godby auditorium was packed out on Sunday?  God is SO good to bring all those people; and how cool is it that we get to be a part in it?  He is using us to invite people to come and hear the Gospel!!!

3)    I am EXTREMELY excited about the Well Kids Ark launch this upcoming Sunday!  Many thanks to all who have been working so hard and pouring their time and love into the little ones of the Well!  I know God will bless you for your heart of service.  Can't wait!

4)    Confession: I am a pack rat (but am trying to cut back).  Over the past week, I took a long trip down memory lane...from high school graduation until I was about 25.   I read letters, cards, e-mails, and other random things I had saved over the years.  My conclusion...the human heart and mind are complicated things, but I am convinced they are programmed with a need to love and be loved.  Hum...I wonder Who did that?  It was a very interesting trip into my not so far away past.  I was able to glimpse back to who I was then with the perspective of who I am now.   I was able to see a change.  I thank the Lord that I am not the same person.  I was a "good" person to all who knew me and I tried my best to love, but how could when I didn't really understand it?  Near my 23rd birthday, I accepted Jesus as my Lord and Savior; I don't want to sound cliché, but it is true...I have never been the same.  With Jesus, I was able to truly understand love.  Yes, I still had the same people, experiences, and memories in my life, but a brand new perspective with the Holy Spirit as my guide.  I was made a new creation. (Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come! 2 Corinthians 5:17)

Further thoughts took me to this truth...I am called to be an ambassador of Christ (We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us.  2 Corinthians 5:20a)...could God use me in the lives of my family and old friends?  I have such a rich past with these loved ones.   I am encouraged to reach out to them with some of this funny history and tell them of the Love that changed my life.  To quote one of my HS BFFs during our freshman year of college, "I can't wait until we have it all figured out."  When will that be I still wonder sometimes?  BUT...I do know that I have purpose and satisfaction in life now.   The Lord has given me a life, a purpose; He has redeemed me for His glory.  I may not have the details figured out, but I know enough to be content in having figured out the most important part...my completeness in Christ.  So, maybe I have figured it out....thanks be to God!  (Now I have to go tell my old friend!)
