AR Winning Team

"Amazing Race to Graduation" winners Ocala Health's Dr. Manal Fakhoury and College of Central Florida's Dr. Barbara Burrows. Both ladies are members of United Way's Board of Directors.

Greetings!

United Way celebrated the second of three fund-raisers to help raise awareness about United Way's new direction.  The Amazing Race to Graduation brought awareness to the Education focus of the organization, by recruiting teams of two to participate in United Way's Amazing Race to Graduation.  Very similar to the reality TV show, The Amazing Race, teams scoured the campus of the College of Central Florida performing tasks along the way that were similar to activities they would have to do to graduate from high school.  Between using their cutting and pasting skills to taking tests to performing a science experiment, teams relived their school days during this event.  Winners were determined based on the number of graduation credits that they accumulated throughout the event.  Check out more photos from the event.
