Greetings!

Over the past 28 years, UPS has donated an incredible $1 billion to improve lives and communities in partnership with United Way. United Way staff showed our appreciation to local UPSers by waving signs and handing bottles of water to drivers as they headed out for the day.

Day of Action event celebrates financial success for Marion County residents
|
|
The 2nd Annual Day of Action Family Financial Fitness Day took place on Saturday, June 19th at CF (formerly CFCC). There were more than 120 participants of all ages and 15 different vendors from local banks and agencies.
Our vendors helped pass along vital information to all of our participants. Valerie Hendriex, Wachovia Bank/A Wells Fargo Co. helped kick off our new program Bank On Marion; an initiative to help educate the community on the importance of a relationship with financial institutions. We offered all ages' financial budgeting workshops which were taught by six of our dedicated volunteers and the children also attended classes and made piggy banks. At the end of the day we all regrouped for closing remarks with our president Maureen Quinlan and gave out door prizes; including several savings bonds, and had a wonderful lunch sponsored by The City of Ocala. |
