| United Way hits 44% |
United Way is pleased to announce that we have hit 44 percent of the campaign goal set in August. Current indicators are showing positive results.
Several companies have reported increases this month.
Congratulations goes out to:
Sumter Electric: 12% increase and 79% participation
Ocala Recycling: 100% increase and 68% participation
Gateway Bank: 30% increase and 100% participation
Independent National Bank: 29% increase and 67% participation
Classic Fire: 25% increase 46% participation
There are more than 35 companies that are currently in the middle of their workplace campaign and another 20 organizations that are getting ready to kick their campaigns off in November. United Way hopes to wrap the campaign up by the end of the year.
United Way is also pleased to announce that 20 new organizations have agreed to offer their employees the opportunity to give through payroll deduction.

United Way 2010-2011 funding application available
|
| United Way of Marion County invites 501 © (3) non-profit human social service agencies serving Marion County, to apply for funding. The funding cycle is from July 1, 2010 to June 30, 2011.
Currently, United Way of Marion County partners with 46 local programs that assist in supporting the needs of the residents of Marion County.
Applications are available at the United Way office located at 1401 NE 2nd St., Ocala, or click here for the Online RFP Application.
The deadline to submit applications is Monday, December 1, 2009 by 4p.m.

Young Leaders Society "Make Your Mark"
Thursday, November 5, 11:00am-1:00pm at United Way. Join us for a panel discussion with community leaders on the importance of being involved in the community and how to be an effective board member, followed by a speed networking session with agencies and community boards.
Our goal is to place Young Leaders on local boards and committees to not only further their development, but to move forward the needle on the issues addressed by these organizations.
