Rancho Alegre Farm
Welcome to Rancho Alegre Farm
Greetings!

The Co-op has taken on a life of its own due to the huge number of interested folks.  Thank you to everyone for your feedback and compliments and please forgive us if we don't always handle things perfectly.  We are very new at this and are operating more from passion than experience.  Please take a few minutes as you leave the market this week to speak to Nichole Teszka, our new marketing intern from UGA.  She will be collecting information to help us better serve your needs.

Please remember our next Co-op and Milk pick-up will be Saturday, Febuary 6.  All orders with payment must be in by 2 PM, Tuesday, February 2nd.  You'll find details below.

The Dacula Farmer's Market will be here as usual from 10am-2pm on Saturday, and Co-op and Milk orders can be taken then. It is a slow time of year for farmers but do stop by their booths to sample fresh baked goods,  wholesome granola and other tasty treats. Rumor has it Anthony will be sampling out a new, Thai-influenced version of Shepherd's Pie.  You don't want to miss that.

Co-op and Milk Pickup Details:
  • All orders must be in with payment by 2 PM, Tuesday, week of Co-op pickup (February 2).  We average two pickups per month.
  • All boxes include a variety of certified organic fruits and vegetables.  (4-6 types of veg. and 6-8 types of fruit)
  • Produce may include onions, potatoes, tomatoes, garlic, kale, chard, spinach, berries, potatoes, broccoli, cabbage, lettuce, apples, carrots, bananas, pears, mushrooms, beets, celery, plums, citrus and avocados as well as other fruit and veg. I'm getting hungry just writing this.
  • A large box is intended to feed an average family of 4 for two weeks at a cost of $50
  • A small box should feed a single person or couple for the same amount of time and cost $30
  • Johnston Family Dairy Milk comes to us from a small, grass-based, family dairy in Newborn GA.  The milk is lightly pasteurized to preserve flavor and nutrients and is never homogenized. Pricing and details below. Orders need to be pre-paid and are picked up on Co-op Saturdays.
  • Produce is supplied by Global Organic Specialty Source in Florida.  GOSS utilizes as much local and regional produce as possible, but then fills in with certified organic imports.
  • When comparison shopping we have found our prices to be  25 to 50% less expensive than local grocery store prices.

A final note:  Rancho Alegre Farm generously hosts The Dacula Famer's Market, the Co-op and the Johnston Dairy milk pickup at substantially reduced rates.   There are many other events taking place on the farm, particularly as spring approaches.  Please remember us when planning a Birthday Party, Family Reunion, Wedding, or even a Corporate Event.

Come visit us this Saturday from 10:00am to 2:00pm, rain or shine.

Thank you for your consideration and we hope to see you soon.
