Greetings!

Sahale Snacks was founded on Three Basic Principles which summarize our mission: Snack Better, Work Better, Live Better.

It is no mistake that "Snack Better" is listed first because that is exactly what we strive to do with every product we craft: make incredibly great tasting and healthy snack foods for busy people.

What IS NOT in our products is equally important to what IS - all natural, whole, recognizable ingredients are the building blocks of Sahale Snacks and there is simply no place for unhealthy oils, artificial flavors, or heavy sweeteners.

That said, the last thing any of us really want is another tasteless bar or boring baggie of chips. Who says Healthy can't be Indulgent?

-July 2009 Issue

Shape Magazine's editors just announced their 3rd Annual Best Snack Awards...and a winner is..Sahale Snacks Cashews with Pomegranate + Vanilla.

Here's what the Shape editors had to say..."Whole roasted cashews are lightly glazed and paired with dried pomegranate, apple, citrus zest, and vanilla bean to create a treat that's smoky, sweet, and salty."

A quarter cup of cashews provides nearly 25 percent of the
magnesium you need to keep your bones strong and your
heart healthy.

And, Men's Health Magazine came to the same conclusion. In this case Men's Health picked their 2009 Nutrition Awards - 125 Best Foods For Men

Their choice for Best Trail Mix: Sahale Snacks Soledad Almonds

They note that, "The mix also includes apples, flaxseeds, dates, and red-pepper flakes. Per 1/4 cup: 130 calories, 4g protein, 10g carbs (3g fiber), 9g fat."

Years with Sahale: since inception (5 years)

Hometown: Seattle, WA

Interests: Skiing volcanoes on a perfect summer day, exploring the Northwest with the family, travelling to exotic places, cooking and eating great food..oh.. and making Sahale Snacks ubiquitous.

Favorite Sahale Snack: I honestly like them all and cycle through all of them. What I find is I like certain ones more so at different times of day and with different types of food, like salad or yogurt.

Fun Facts: When I was an awkward adolescent, I hated my curls and used to wet my hair and wear a wool ski hat to bed every night to straighten it.
