The Doubletree Easter Egg hunt was once again a big hit.

The sun broke through just in time Saturday as dozens of kids, parents, grandparents, and friends lined up to take part in the hunt. The Special Events Committee hid over 1000 eggs in a grassy area near the clubhouse.

After a 11am start, children of all ages gather their eggs. Five of which contained a gold coin worth a special prize. The lucky five received Easter Baskets donated by Randy & Nancy Minas.

Speeders Beware
Yes, beware. If you speed through Doubletree you will be ticketed for violating a POA covenant. Our office has received a few complaints from those ticketed for speeding. Some of those ticketed feel the speed limit is too low. Others feel they were targeted. Some contend the speed limit imposed isn't lawful. The speed limit was determined with the safety of our citizens in mind. Going 20 miles per hour opposed to 30 miles an hour will take you only a few extra seconds to get home. That's got to be worth the safety of our community. Those feeling targeted.. you're right.. "speeders" are indeed targeted. All of them. If you're speeding Doubletree Security has been instructed to write you a violation ticket with a fine. Our speed limit is lawful. Our covenants allow for the determination of traffic rules within our gated community. Please slow down and keep our community safe.

Open Lake Committee Meeting
