Doubletree Kids' Fishing Tournament
The Doubletree Lake Estates Lake Committee hosted their annual kids' fishing tournament on May 11th. A combination of great weather and 42 participating kids made the event a huge success.
Catfish, bass, and bluegill caught measured in size from 6 inches to a whopping 26 inches. All the fish were released back into the lake to be caught another day.
The TOP winners of the day were:
3-8 year olds
1st Drake Bult
2nd Zachary Cher
3rd Jonna Black
9-16 year olds
1st Chris Edwards
2nd Kameron Hussey
3rd Dayton Natal
A very special thank you to Doubletree Management for providing snacks and beverages. Also to our anonymous resident for again donating the cash prizes and McDonald gift certificates.

Boating Reminder
Watercraft traffic will undoubtedly increase this weekend and throughout the season. Remember to use good common sense when utilizing Doubletree Lake. Remember, all boats (motorized on not) must be registered with the POA to enter the lake. Failing to register your boat prior to launching may result in fines equaling 3 times the cost of a permit.
Boat Patrol has been instructed to watch for speeding or unsafe practices. Fines can equal up to $500.
Have a good time. But, remember, Safety First. |
