Dear Doubletree Residents:
First, Happy New Year! With another year behind us we are faced with yet another challenging year before us. The economy remains perplexed and the market unclear. Still, we continue to work in the best interest of the community with it's future in mind.
The Doubletree Budget is complete and ready to distribute. It has been in the hands of our accounting representatives for final touches which are now complete. Copies may be picked up during normal business hours.
Ron Johnson's departure from Doubletree is a concern to many. Ron was a valuable part of Doubletree. He handled many of your POA issues and concerns. As a replacement will be identified in later weeks you may contact Doubletree representatives Dennis Rouhselang or Terry Pingel with any current needs.
In closing I wish you the very best in the New Year.
Best Regards,
Randall K. Minas |

Kids Fishing Tournament
The Kids Fishing Tournament date has been set for May 16, 2010 from 1pm to 3pm. It will be open to residents of Doubletree East and West for kids 18 and under. As usual, howeowners' grandkids as well as nieces and nephews are welcome to participate. Look for more details upcoming.
Adult Fishing Tournament
We are considering holding a fishing competition for adults. Participants would be required to pay an entry fee of around $25 with proceeds going to the winner(s). No details have been worked out yet, but we would like to know if there is an interest in hosting such an event. Please send email to tpingel@doubletreelake.net if interested.
Independence Day Boat Parade & Fireworks Display
We have been discussing the possibility of holding this event on Independence Day weekend. We would invite boat owners to decorate their boats and form a parade around the lake prior to the yet to be approved fireworks display.
House Numbers on Docks
The Lake Committee voted unanimously in favor of requiring all docks on the lake to have their house number displayed with 4" numeral decals. This is being done to properly identify the precise location for rescue workers in the event of a lake related accident. This change will be submitted to the POA for approval.
Boat Trailer Permits
Based on a number of suggestions from homeowners, we decided to recommend the implementation of permits for all boat trailers parked or garaged in Doubletree. The suggest cost for each trailer permit will be $25. | |
