Catch of the Month catch
This month's Doubletree "Catch of the Month" goes to resident Doug Hoover and his daughter Alyssa. Doug hooked the catch and Alyssa reeled it in. The catfish was caught on a brown tube and weighed 8 pounds 1 ounce. After snapping a quick photo the catch was released back into the lake. Nice job Doug & Alyssa!!

Back to School Safety Remindersbus

With the first day of school quickly approaching we would like to see all parents discuss these important safety guidelines with their children.

1. Find an easy way to walk to school or the bus stop. Determine a "SAFE" route with the fewest number of street crossings possible. Discuss things to "watch out" for when walking to school and always walk with a brother, sister, or friend.

2. Don't talk to strangers. Don't go anywhere with a stranger. Don't accept anything from a stranger. Remember, children often think of a stranger's appearance as mean & scary which is often not the case.

3. Memorize your phone number and address including area code and zip code.

4. Arrive to your bus stop before its due to arrive. Children are often injured rushing to catch the bus.

5. Stand four "GIANT" steps from the curb and make your line to board "AWAY" from the curb.

6. Don't leave anything behind when getting on or off the bus and make sure your backpack is zipped up and no straps are loose potentially getting caught in the door.

7. If you drop something near the bus tell the bus driver before you retrieve it. Make sure the bus driver "SEES" you at all times.

8. If your child is a "latch key kid" make sure she calls you immediately upon getting home. Remind your children of house rules when you're away.

Outstanding Residents!

Thank you to resident Fred Gasparovic for his continued clean up of debris along a large portion of Randolph Street from the pond to the medical center.

Thank you to all whom pitch in and clean up even when the area being cleaned isn't yours. Together we make Doubletree beautiful.
dogDog Days of Summer

Just a reminder, dogs must be kept on a leash in Doubletree. Also, please clean up what your dog leaves behind. Your best friend would do it for you.

Quote of the Month

"Thank you to Frank & his (Doubletree POA) mowing crew for mowing a pathway around the east end of the lake. On behalf of all the joggers, walkers, and bikers - Thank you very much".
