Dear JABBERS: We all remember exactly where we were and what we were doing on September 11, 2001 just after 9:00 am. It's hard to believe it's been 11 years since that fated day that still haunts each of us. This weekend I visited the 911 Memorial in New York City. The last time I was at that site, it was just a few weeks after that devastating day and people were referring to it as Ground Zero.

One World Trade Center Under Construction
|
The memorial is, in a word, powerful. The tower, which stands taller than any other building in the US, is majestic and elegant. It is an incredible symbol of resilience and strength. The gardens and fountains are a beautiful tribute to each and every American who lost a life. Despite the devastating memories of that day, America remains steadfast in its ideals. The show of kindness and compassion shown to one another after the 9/11 attacks is what makes me truly proud to be American.
On a final note, I would like to extend a special condolence to the family of Team JAB Miami's Kati Foley, whose uncle (William Russell Peterson - Uncle Billy) perished in the World Trade Center's North Tower.
Our hearts are with everyone who lost a loved one that day.
-Boo and Team JAB
