Wood You Know Where I Could Find a Woodie?
From Ashley Schutz:  REPLY
I'm chairing a fundraiser in October with a classic 1960s surf theme. We'd like to display a vintage Woodie wagon as part of our decor. Do you know anyone who owns one and might be willing to lend or rent it out for one night? Or maybe you have a connection with a classic car club that could help us out? I found the National Woodie Club's website but they don't seem to have any chapters in South Florida. Thanks, JABBERS!

Keep Your Children Safe
From Jennifer Gould:  REPLY
The Oscar Project is a Miami based non-profit whose mission is to help prevent unintentional injury in and out of the home. We hold monthly Spanish language workshops designed to give child caregivers, parents, and families the information and tools to prevent these unintentional injuries. Florida has the highest drowning rate in children ages 1-4, and in 2002, there were approximately 1.2 million accidental poisonings in children under the age of 5 in the United States. You can help prevent these injuries by attending our course at Miami Children's Hospital on August 4, contacting us to schedule a seminar, or by visiting our website HERE to learn more about additional courses.*

Do You Know a Child Who is Anxious or Sad?

All children feel worried, anxious or sad from time to time. However, some children feel so worried or sad that it interferes with their family life, their school work, their sleep habits, and their self-esteem. The University of Miami's Child and Adolescent Mood and Anxiety Treatment Program offers effective, individual and group treatment for children and adolescents with anxiety or depression, some of which are available at a low cost through on-going research studies. Call us at (305) 284-9852 Ext. 1 or click HERE to learn more.*

We all have that one friend who knows EVERYTHING. She's the girl you turn to when you need those nagging questions answered, from where to find a babysitter (if she isn't keeping all the good ones to herself), to who gives the best eyebrow wax. Well, now you have that in JustAskBoo, but unlike your proprietary friend, we aren't stingy with the information. That's the kind of thing you want to pass along and as of today, we made it even easier for you to do just that. Simply forward the newsletter to your closest friends and tell them to SIGN UP! They will thank you, because JAB is just too good to keep to yourself.
