Graduations at El Hogar

All three El Hogar centers, the elementary school, the Technical Institute and the Agricultural School celebrated graduations in November.  There were fifteen graduates from sixth grade and these boys will go on to either the Institute or the Agricultural School.  Fourteen graduated from the Agricultural School and twenty from the Institute.  These milestones of education and accomplishment are enormously important in the lives of these young people and their families.  In most cases these graduates have gone further in school than anyone in their families.

This photo shows three generations of family members celebrating with their graduate from the Technical Institute.

Stevens Josue was the valedictorian of his class at the Technical Institute and has a promising future.  He wants to continue studying and preparing for University.

At the elementary campus, a grandmother graduated along with the fourteen El Hogar boys.  She attended the literacy program that El Hogar offers to family members.  Justina has brought grandsons and nephews to El Hogar over the years and they are equally proud of her  achievment.Justina graduates
