Bright Spot Ventures
 A special thanks to the youth in West End's Bright Spot Ventures program for helping increase community recognition and appreciation of West End's Farmers' Market this month. BSV youth are now cultivating tomatoes, cucumbers, and peppers, which they will harvest and sell at the market when ripe. |

1st Place for West End's Track Team!
West End is proud to congratulate Above Xpectations Track Team members Safiyy Harris (400 Meters) as well as Sahmir Pearson, DeAndre Wilson, Shawn Davis, and Gary Brightwell (4x400 Relay) for their first place finishes at the Russel E. Blunt Invitational held in North Carolina last week. In addition to the 1st place finishers, ALL of the team's competitors qualified to move on to the next round.
The Blunt Invitational hosted over 3,000 competitors and draws elite athletes from across the U.S., Bermuda and Puerto Rico. Participants must qualify AND be invited just to compete.
