Experts come to the Coast for Autism and Allergy Conference - Saturday June 13th 2009
The incidence of autism and allergies is rising. Just 20 short years ago, Autism affected 1 child in 20,000. Today, it is estimated that 1 child in 67 has been diagnosed with an Autism Spectrum Disorder. In addition, allergies have increased 10 fold in the last 10 years.
Leading experts in their chosen health fields will gather for a conference on Saturday June 13th 2009 at 1.00pm on the Sunshine Coast to discuss these issues. The conference is open to parents, teachers and practitioners and will be held in the brand new multi million dollar purpose built community facility nestled on 18 acres of rain forest at 44 Cogill Rd Buderim -The Phoenix Centrum.
The conference will be specifically looking at prevention, treatment and care of children and adults with Autism, Asperges and Allergies (the three A's).
Speakers include:
Sunshine Coast nutritionist, author and international speaker Cyndi O'Meara, who will be expounding on the merits of diet as it relates to the 3 A's.;
Dr Rosemary Keating, paediatric chiropractor, will demonstrate that a fully functioning nervous system can increase the potential of a child's physical and mental health;
Dr Dzung Price, author of Your Allergy Free Child, has 7 proven simple steps to eliminate allergies naturally; and
Meryl Dorey, founder and director of Australian Vaccination Network and editor of Living Wisdom magazine. Meryl will present a wealth of information on the rise in these diseases, possible causes and how to prevent your child from becoming part of these statistics.
