Summer Adult Education Classes
Beyond Guilt: Toward a constructive Anti-Racism awareness Leader: Luke Stevens-Royer Wednesdays July 18-August 8, 7:00 p.m. Unitarian Universalists have a strong history of "Standing on the side of love," working against many forms of oppression to create a more just and equitable world. Yet systemic oppression continues today covertly in the social psyche. The sessions will include a sociological analysis of racism and religion, Unitarian Universalist history around issues of race, reflection on individual's personal experience, understanding of modern racism, and approaches for individuals and institutions to constructively confront racism. The sessions relate to each other, but each class is "stand alone" so participants may attend as many sessions as they like. Scroll through the calendar for a description of each session.

Or, just come and enjoy the poems provided and that your fellow poetry lovers bring. Light refreshments will be served.
