This Sunday, February 12
9:30 a.m. FORUM:
"Marriage Amendment 101"
What's all the fuss about? Why have an amendment? What will actually be on the ballot in November? How can we respond to the fears of others? Let's talk and listen and share experiences and ideas.
10:30 a.m. ASSEMBLY: "What the World Needs Now..."
Speaker: Luke Stevens-Royer, Intern Minister. For everyone, we know that life is not a stagnant reality but rather a multiplicity of experiences, moments, perspectives, changes that make us who we are. As we work for marriage equality in the coming year in Minnesota, how might we engage with others who have slightly or significantly different values and experiences? Intern Minister Luke Stevens-Royer will offer reflections on how he slowly changed on LGBTQI equality, and how holding that former self with grace and openness might help to engage with others in a healthy and constructive way.
