This Sunday, January 29
9:30 a.m. FORUM:
"Sunday Forum Book Discussion"
The Moral Landscape by Sam Harris-begins Sunday, January 29 at 9:30 a.m. and continues on February 5 and 12. A number of copies of the book are available at the FUS bookstore or you may secure one of your own. We will begin our study of Harris' book on the 29th with a short video presentation by Sam Harris as he speaks about the intersection of science and values. Facilitated by Audrey Kingstrom.
10:30 a.m. ASSEMBLY: "Life Calls Us On"
Speaker: Rev. Dr. Kendyl Gibbons. It is wisely said that the only certain thing is change, and change appears to be in the wind for FUS. What makes ministers come and go, and how do congregations maintain their coherence while that happens? There is much to learn, both from living through a time of suspense, and then saying goodbye well, assuming that is how it turns out. We will also hear perspectives from a couple of congregational leaders about the process before us.
