9:30 a.m. FORUM: "From Wartburg to Boston: Religious Pilgrimage and Collective Identity" Religious and Spiritual journeys take a myriad of forms, some painful and some joyous, and of course most journeys have both pain and joy. It seems as though there are distinct ways that individuals process their own journey, from a rejection of the past to a completely new start, and everywhere in between. From a Lutheran upbringing and Lutheran Seminary to the Unitarian Universalist Ministry, Intern Minister Luke Stevens-Royer will share his own journey and invite questions and reflections. All are welcome. 10:30 a.m. ASSEMBLY: "No Exceptions" Speaker: Rev. Dr. Kendyl Gibbons. Minnesota has the opportunity to set a record by becoming the first state to defeat a proposed constitutional amendment that would deny marriage to same sex couples. And we have our work cut out for us as advocates of equality before the law regardless of sexual orientation. Perhaps the most challenging thing we are called to do is engage in conversation with those who don't already share this conviction. Are we prepared to be reasonable, compassionate, and understanding in our exchanges with others, at the same time that we speak out faithfully in support of our GLBT friends, neighbors, and family members? New members will be welcomed at this Assembly, and we will celebrate those reaching their tenth year anniversary. Tour a Shelter
Join other FUS members on a tour of People Serving People Shelter, this Sunday. We will meet near the front door immediately after the Assembly. Carpooling is available. The shelter is at 614 S. 3rd St. We will be back by 1:30. Pledge to Vote No "Pledge to Vote No" on constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage. Visit the anti-amendment table during social hour on Sunday.

Folk Concert at FUS
Lou and Peter Berryman will be giving a concert November 19 at 8:00 p.m. at FUS. These Wisconsin songwriters do to Midwestern sensibilities what Christine Lavin does to stressful New York, and what Tom Lehrer so long ago did to the intellectual pomposities of Cambridge: hoist the norms of everyday culture hilariously on their own petards. They have the rare ability to make us simultaneously laugh at and care about the people they lampoon. Click here for tickets.
